Sustainability at Artisan Textiles isn't a marketing claim — it's a set of real, measurable commitments we hold ourselves to at every stage of production.

Responsible Sourcing
We source fibres from certified suppliers and prioritise natural, low-impact materials wherever possible.
Reduced Water Use
Our dyeing processes use closed-loop water systems to minimise waste and runoff at every production stage.

How we do it

Three pillars of our
sustainability practice

Environmental

We minimise our ecological footprint at every stage — from sourcing raw fibres to treating wastewater before it leaves our facility.

Closed-loop water recycling in dyeing
Azo-free, OEKO-TEX compliant dyes
Waste fabric repurposed or donated
Energy-efficient loom technology

Social

Our people are the heart of what we make. We invest in artisan wellbeing, skills development, and community support across Multan.

Fair wages above market rate

The human side

Craft that
empowers
communities

Behind every product we make are the weavers, dyers, and stitchers of Multan — a city with a textile tradition that stretches back centuries. We employ local artisans, invest in their skills, and pay wages that enable families to thrive.

"Working here isn't just a job. It's a place where our craft is respected and our skills are passed on."

— Artisan, Weaving Department

In 2024, we launched a skills training programme for young weavers from underserved areas of Multan — giving them access to professional-grade equipment and a pathway to full employment.

What we weave with

Our material
composition

60% of our total fibre input comes from natural sources — cotton and linen. We are actively increasing this share year on year as we deepen supplier relationships and reduce synthetic dependence.

In practice

What we actually do

Closed-loop water recycling

Our dyeing facility uses a closed-loop water treatment system, reducing freshwater consumption by approximately 40% compared to conventional dyeing operations of the same scale.

Environmental

Azo-free dyeing

We use only OEKO-TEX approved, azo-free dyes across all our production lines — protecting workers from harmful chemical exposure and keeping products safe for end users and the environment.

Environmental · Health

Fair wage commitment

All Artisan Textiles employees earn above the regional market rate for their role. We publish our wage benchmarking annually and conduct bi-annual salary reviews for all production staff.

Social

Waste fabric repurposing

Fabric offcuts and end-of-roll waste are collected, sorted, and either donated to local community textile programmes or recycled into industrial stuffing materials — keeping waste out of landfill.
